The state education department released the latest round of Comprehensive Test of Basic Skills scores Tuesday.The exam, given in April, tested third-, sixth- and ninth-graders on reading comprehension, language arts and math.The scores will be used to form baselines and goals for schools, with rewards being distributed in 2002.These scores do not contribute to the accountability decisions made in the interim accountability process, the department said. Those decisions are based on scores from the Kentucky Core Content Tests given in the spring of 1999 and 2000, the results of which will be released in the fall.
