James Coleman Laster Jr., 62, of Glasgow died June 20, 2000, at his home.The Paris, Tenn., native was a retired parts specialist for General Motors, a volunteer firefighter and police officer, a Michigan state fire Instructor, a lifetime member of Genesee Firefighters Association and a member of Linden Sportsmans Club and Church of Christ. He was a son of the late James Laster Sr. and Myrtle Hudson Laster.Memorial service will be at a later date in Michigan. No visitation is scheduled. Bailey-Turner-Winkenhofer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Laster; a daughter, Kassandra Laster of Glasgow; five sons, James C. Laster of Milwaukee, Mathew W. Laster and Mathew W. Laster Jr., both of Glasgow, Christopher L. Laster of Fenton, Mich., and Billy W. Pearce-Laster of Flint, Mich.; and four grandchildren.
