Clarence L. Boards, 74, of Anderson, Ind., formerly of Warren County, died at 5 a.m. EST April 1, 2000, at an Anderson nursing home.The Warren County native was a retired employee of Guide Corp. in Anderson and a member of Anderson Zion Baptist Church, United Auto Workers Local 663 of Anderson and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a son of the late Fountain Boards and Mille Swan Boards of Anderson, who survives.Funeral will be at 1 p.m. CDT Friday at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Smiths Grove with burial in Plainview Cemetery in Oakland. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove chapel, is in charge of arrangements.Other survivors include his wife, Dorothy E. Boards; three daughters, Brenda Boards Jordan, Diana Boards and Cassandra Boards, all of Anderson; seven sons, Gary Boards, Elder Michael Boards, Dennis Boards and Christopher Boards, all of Anderson, Tony Boards of Vista, Calif., Jeffery Boards of Indianapolis and Jackie Boards of Atlanta; two sisters, Mary Walker and Alberta Morgan, both of Anderson; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
