Robert Harry Bob Gielow, 69, of Bowling Green died at 5:25 p.m. Dec. 25, 2000, at a Bowling Green nursing home.The Elgin, Ill., native was a retired chief master sergeant in the Air Force, serving in Europe, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, and Thailand, was a former patient account manager at Greenview Regional Hospital, and a member of the United States Judge Advocate Generals Department, and Retired United States Air Force Paralegal Association.Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was a member and a church leader, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Building Fund of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 553 Ashmoor Ave., Bowling Green, Ky. 42101.Survivors include his wife, Neva B. Belcher Gielow; a daughter, Josiana R. Schaller of Overland Park, Kan.; a son, Robert H. Gielow Jr. of Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Richard V. Gielow of Brooksville, Fla.; three grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew.
