GLASGOW William Flemming Marrs, 92, of Glasgow died Dec. 1, 2000, at a Glasgow nursing home.The Monroe County native was a merchant and postmaster at Mount Herman Store and a former member of Bethlehem Methodist Church in Butler County and attended First United Methodist Church in Glasgow. He was son of the late William F. Marrs and Verna Davis Marrs and husband of the late Inez Bowman Marrs.Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Community Relief Fund for Glasgow-Barren County or the Glasgow-Barren County Salvation Army.Survivors include a son, William F. Marrs of Glasgow; three daughters, Doris McKinley of Glasgow, Martha Yerzerski of Murray, Brenda Bowman Marrs of Hendersonville, Tenn.; a sister, Mary Rose Downing of Louisville; and six grandsons.
