Navy Airman Heather Copas, daughter of Candace R. Randles of Bowling Green, recently returned home after a scheduled deployment to the Mediterranean while assigned to the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman, homeported in Norfolk, Va.

Copas is a 2002 graduate of Butler County High School in Morgantown and joined the Navy in July 2002.

Army Reserve Pvt. Jeffrey B. Payne has graduated from the heavy-wheeled vehicle mechanic advanced individual training course at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

Payne is the son of Clarice and Norman W. Taulbee of Scottsville.

He is a 2003 graduate of Allen County High School.

Devon A. Bledsoe has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy.

He is the son of Dennis and Sandra Bledsoe of Smiths Grove. Bledsoe is a 2004 graduate of Caverna High School in Horse Cave.

Navy Seaman Ebony B. Kinnard, daughter of Lela M. and Earl Kinnard of Bowling Green, recently arrived at the ships new homeport in San Diego after transiting around the tip of South America from Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, Va.

Army National Guard Pfc. Jarian D. Drane has graduated from the automated logistical specialist advanced individual training (AIT) course at the U.S. Army Quartermaster Center and School at Fort Lee in Petersburg, Va.

Drane is the son of Delois A. Drane of Russellville. He is a 1997 graduate of Russellville High School.

Air Force Staff Sgt. Timothy J. Huntington is deployed overseas at a forward operating location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Huntington, a special handling supervisor, is the son of John E. Huntington of Bowling Green and grandson of Barbara D. Albrecht of Glendora, Calif.
