As part of its financial belt tightening, Fruit of the Loom laid off less than 30 people at its corporate headquarters here Tuesday.The layoffs, which include retail sales President Jack Salisbury, are effective at years end, Executive Vice President John Holland said.Salisburys position is being merged with the president of activewear position, which is held by longtime Bowling Green resident Vince Tyree.Holland said laid-off employees will be receive a severance package.
