Bargain Hunt is returning to Bowling Green, with plans to open its doors on Friday.

The Bowling Green Bargain Hunt will be the 39th store in the chain and the seventh in Kentucky. The business is located in what formerly housed a Price Less IGA at 2475 Scottsville Road. The 26,300 square feet of sales space will have apparel, bed and bath accessories, electronics, home decor, small kitchen appliances, and an expanded toy section for Christmas, according to a news release from the company.

Similar to consignment store operations, the store drops prices based on how long an item has been on the shelf.

Bargain Hunt is headquartered in LaVergne, Tenn., with locations in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky and Indiana.

The store was previously in Bowling Green on Scottsville Road from 2008 to 2011 according to marketing manager Albert Samuels.
