BGJHS starts playoffs

The Bowling Green Junior High School football team faces Paducah Middle in the first round of the state playoffs at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bowling Green High.

The Purples won the inaugural Kentucky Middle School State Tournament in 2008 as seventh-graders after an undefeated season and are a combined 13-0 after two seasons in conference games.
