I couldn’t believe what I witnessed on CSPAN2 this morning.

A long line of supposed honorable senators heaping praise on U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, for his many years of service.

This senator violated the trust of his constituents and the American people. He disgraced himself, his country, family and the Senate.

He has been convicted of several felonies and will soon be in prison. Listening to the senators heaping praise on him almost made me physically ill. We wonder why the morals of the country are in a decline.

I do not continue to wonder.
