The Greenwood volleyball team picked up its 200th win in the program's short history Saturday.
The Lady Gators went 4-1 in the Apollo Invitational to finish third overall and improved to 200-61 in their last match of the tournament.
“We feel pretty good about doing that,” Greenwood coach Holly Whittinghill said.
In the tournament opener, Greenwood beat Daviess County 2-1. Emillee Buttrum had 16 digs and Samantha Mills had seven aces.
In the second match, Greenwood won 2-0 over Henderson County. Buttrum had six kills and Mills had five kills.
Greenwood beat Boone County 2-1 in the quarterfinals. Katie Strom finished with 11 kills, Buttrum had 13 digs and Lizzie Beal recorded four aces.
The Lady Gators lost to Owensboro Catholic in the semifinals and then beat Grayson County 2-0 in the third-place match. Samantha Mills served nine aces in the final match.
